Fielding Cottage is an Award Winning business producing a range of Goats Cheeses along with a range of goat’s milk skincare products.
A unique position is available for an enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking individual to join our small but growing team. The main roles will be associated with all aspects of cheese production, however some marketing and sales work may be required. While prior cheese making experience would be an advantage, this role is ideal for a keen individual who is looking to pursue a career in the food industry as well as insight into growing an artisan food business. Full training will be given in this full time role with flexible hours.
A minimum of £3.30ph
Hours may vary but will be a minimum of 35 per week this will include evenings and weekends on a rota basis
Upon demonstrating the correct level of personal skill and commitment, as well as successfully completing the apprenticeship programme our apprentice would be offered the opportunity to continue their personal development within our team.

As the grandson of a Norfolk farmer and an active member of Norfolk Young Farmers I spent many years thinking of different ways to combine my love of working with animals with my farming knowledge and expertise to create a business unique to the area.
Having researched the benefits of products made from goat’s milk over cow’s milk, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and invest in a small herd of goats and the appropriate processing equipment. A couple of years ago we built a beautiful, purpose built ‘cheeseroom’ and we now have a range of products of which we are very proud.”

Location is accessible by public transport, ideally the candidate would be able to drive
Communication, Initiative, Time Management, Organisational Skills, a real flair for food, an understanding of food provenance and an appreciation for the importance of food at events
As well as being well organised, motivated and willing to learn, the successful candidate should also have an interest in the world of catering and event management, as well as a real passion for food.
GCSE Maths & English – A to C – ideally
This role will require working weekends and evenings on a rota basis
You’ll be on your feet a long time, so the role has a physical nature. I’m looking for someone with real determination, motivation and drive. This role could be so much more, it’s yours to develop. This role will include our deliveries so it is essential that we have a driver.
