Locksmith Apprentice

We are looking for a real self-starter to follow an apprenticeship with a local training provider to aid in a Locksmith role with us.

This role is varied, and you will be working closely alongside Andy out in the van. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and trustworthy candidate to be a part of our team who will be prepared to work on a rota basis.

Ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Customer care skills, with a patient approach
  • Mechanical skills and technical ability
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to understand and grasp new technology
  • Problem solving and creative thinking skills

Possible tasks include:

  • Carry out new lock installation, servicing and maintaining existing locks
  • Gain entry to properties where lock are faulty or keys are missing
  • Ensuring professionalism is upheld at all times including your dress code and behaviour


Weekly Wage:

Starting salary will be £3.50 per hour and will be reviewed after a probationary period

Working Week:

At least 30 hours per week Monday – Sunday (Varied hours on a rota basis)

Flexibility Required.

Future Prospects:

Upon demonstrating the correct level of personal skill and commitment, as well as successfully completing the apprenticeship programme our apprentice would be offered the opportunity to continue their employment within our company.

Location is accessible by public transport, ideally the successful candidate would be able to drive

Skills Required:

Communication, Initiative, Customer Service, Team Working, An ability to take instructions and work rapidly, Punctual

As well as being well organised, motivated and willing to learn, Self-motivation, Desire to learn, Committed, Good attention to detail

No formal qualifications, although you will need to complete Functional Skills as part of your apprenticeship if you not have Maths, English and ICT GCSE C grades

Important Information:

The nature of work means we provide a 24 hour service, so this role will be rota based and flexibility is required for the role.

Successful candidate will need to be able to pass a DBS check

Driving would be an advantage for this role as our 24 hour service requires some early starts when public transport may not be available
